Midwife had a feel of the babys position two weeks ago at 34 weeks and found she had moved from breech position to transverse.Im now due to go back in tommorow,at 36 weeks, and Im sure shes still lying crossways, doesnt seem like theres much time to sort this out now unless they can move her around tommorow.Do I stand a chance of them sorting this out,or is it looking like a caesarean is the likely option?

Hi Dorleans, I have exactly the same problem, my baby always been transverse, and I'm 36 weeks as well, going to midwife this Wednesday think they probably refer for a scan, to see if there any reason why baby Transverse, such as short cord etc. I have been reading a lot on the matter, and the thought of doctors turning the baby is a no no for me now, as it not very successful, and can be quiet dangerous, detaching placenta etc. I've been trying weird and wonderful methods of trying to turn, such as diving in swimming pool, shining lights, sitting on buckets etc. still to no avail, apparentely baby can still turn and can even wait until labour to turn, but if still not moving then sadly it's a c-section for us. I really worried about this as I've got a 3 year old to look after, and fear he will seriously resent his sibling if he's house-bound for 6 weeks. (for the record he was right way round, perfect vaginal delivery)
