So I will be 18 weeks pregnant with our first on Monday! Midwife has told me that I should start to feel flutters soon (I'm not too concerned if I don't yet as I know that it could be another few weeks)

But could someone please tell me what kind of feelings I should expect and what to feel for when the time comes? What was your experience? 🥰❤️ Thank you in advance!

Mine felt like when you feel your pulse, but just one beat (or a few at a time, not in any.particular rhythm)

Like anxious butterflies in the stomach. Same time every day. Took me a while to realise it was the baby's very light movements.

Mine was like if you imagine holding a butterfly in your cupped hands. Short bursts of flutters.

I also think this is the perfect description. And - I had it much earlier than 14 werks

Like lemonade bubbles popping. I felt it from 14weeks. The first time I didn't realise it was quickening and when I told my mother I could feel bubbles she laughed and sad that's what the start of baby movement always felt like to her. I quickly realised the next time around. It rapidly progress to feeling like i was bring beaten up from within😉
