I am about 4 weeks but that is based off of my last period. I'm unsure when I ovulated. I got a super strong positive 3 days before my period is due. Im supposed to get it tomorrow and this is my rainbow baby! My 4th pregnancy and im so scared about these crampies. Is it normal you think???

I had such bad cramps at 4-5 weeks pregnant I thought I was getting a super bad period! Was very surprised to find out I was indeed pregnant when I took my test. The cramps were very sharp and almost left me doubled over sometimes. I wouldn't worry but if you do have any concerns I would contact your GP :)

Also congratulations!

Yes, I always cramp before and during period so I thought I was just getting my period!

It's normal and there's a lot of stretching that happens early on. Your ligaments can ache, look up round ligament pain.

Congratulations!

I had shocking cramps throughout the entirety of my first trimester. In fact, my stomach has felt crampy and kind of bruised all pregnancy and well into my third trimester. Midwife said all totally normal. Cramping is actually a really good sign that your uterus is being prepared to accommodate your growing baby 😊

I had really bad cramps that I just put it down to my period. Only did a test when it didn’t show. I still had cramping for a couple of weeks which then changed to bad coccyx pain. Midwife described it to me as my body beginning tk adapt to grow a baby.

My midwife said that you’re uterus’s basic response to anything is cramping. And that after previous pregnancies cramps and pains can be worse. They’re not entirely sure why but think it could be because your uterus has stretched out and contracted back down before which can make it somewhat more sensitive and even leave some scar tissue. Basically it’s been through the wars and is bit more fragile. I barely had cramps with my first but get niggles and cramps all the time now with my second.

When I was pregnant with my first I had cramps from 4-8 weeks. The day after I got my BFP I ended up crying on the bathroom floor with really bad cramps thinking I was going to lose the baby. He’s now 3 and a half :) midwife assured me that it was very normal.

Currently 18 weeks and soon after I found out at 11 or 12dpo I had awful period pains until around 6 weeks and every morning would rush to the toilet expecting blood but it never came 😊

I had awful cramps from about 5 to 12/13 weeks. Really intense too - I remember one night I felt like I was about to pass out/throw up with the pain! I was certain I was going to lose the baby.

I did mention it to the midwife, she was very unconcerned as I had no bleeding to go with it.

Sorry to jump on an old thread but did your cramps feel awfully dull and achy like you were about to shed your lining at any minute? And you were fine?

Only just got BFP and freaking out due to waves of period pains across the day.
