Having another c-section

Hi everyone,

I'm 5 weeks pregnant with my third child. My first pregnancy was identical twins and I had a planned c-section as it was deemed safer , I had a great experience and I would like the same for this baby. I'm just wondering if a c section is an option second time round for a low-risk pregnancy , or would they try and steer me down the normal life route?

You’ll have the option for both they might say your a good candidate for a VBAC but ultimately it’s your decision. I went for a VBAC after an elective with my twins but I was never pushed more towards one or the other.

Hi, I had an emergency c-section to deliver my son, my next pregnancy I was given the option of a planned c-section or attempting a vaginal delivery under consultant care as opposed to the midwife led unit.

I wasn't pressured either way and had opportunity to discuss what my preferences were. I wanted to avoid induction so I chose a c-section at 40 weeks but stipulated that if I went into labour before that I wanted to attempt to deliver. I went into labour at 38 weeks and my daughter was delivered vaginally with out any issues, all worked out well.

Sorry, just to add, it was very much my decision and I felt no judgement either way Smile
