Baby always feet down on scans and kicking low down

Just a question regarding fetal position
I'm currently 24 weeks pregnant, due to my age and previous losses and also not being able to get all info on scans etc, I've actually had lots of scans.
I really cant find any information regarding this and also the doctors don't appear concerned but baby is always face down and kicks really low down.. has anyone else had this experience, this is my 3rd baby and can't remember my second being this way (bearing in mind I didn't have lots of scans with the second)
Thank you.

Your post is a little confusing as you said face down, but also feet down?
However, at 24 weeks it doesn't matter about babies position, they have loads of time to move. I don't think Dr start to think about it until 35weeks ish

I'm sorry, see what you mean!! The baby lays face down with feet tucked under.. I seem to only feel kicking low down. I think I am just a worrier, I'm 45 and high risk pregnancy. I've had the Nipt DNA test and that came back low risk.. I've had lots of scan where they've had to do repeat due to fetal position. At the 20 week scan they tried 3 times to get good view of the heart, in the end I was referred to a special fetal cardiology place, but all appeared OK with the heart. I'm feeling lots more kicking last few days, I've also got an anterior placenta I've been told.

@Pali45 I don't see the issue! That's just his/her preferred position! He/she still has plenty of room to move. Just makes it more difficult to get good scans, evidently.

And yes, with an anterior placenta you won't feel as much on the outside or front of your abdomen.

Sounds exactly like my DC2. He adopted a similar position for the 20 week scan. Both times. In the end we barely got half the measurements, including the heart ones, and we were sent on our merry way. DC2 is now 4 months old and, other than recurrent coughs and colds courtesy of DC1, is a healthy, happy baby. Coincidentally, the placenta was anterior as well. All my early movements were low down, so I think he just liked that position to start with. He moved around more in later pregnancy, moving on from low down to kicking my right side as much as he could. Then he was breech at 36 weeks..... Then went head down a week later. Lil sod. 😊😍

He still loves to kick his wee legs.

Wouldn’t worry about this at all at 24 weeks, they can sit where they like!

It’s something like at 28 weeks 25-40% are breech, by 32 weeks only 7% and by 36 only
3 or 4%.

I think they settle down a bit later if you’ve been pregnant before as well. I was really worried as I was having lots of scans as DS2 needed to be born out of area for specialised care and really didn’t want a section because wanted to
be driving. I was having loads of scans and he was always feet down and asked a few of the midwives and consultants who all told me nothing special to do and just keep waiting. He did turn at 33 weeks in the end.

Thank you for all your replies, it's reassuring to read them. I just keep thinking that there may be a problem because of position/rarely moving.
I've just actually had a look at my scan reports and I see at 21 weeks the presentation was cephalic and at 22 transverse!

My baby was always head down every scan as if doing a headstand, I had lots of scans too and she was always in the same position which worried me, but drs weren't concerned, she is now here perfectly healthy - apparently babies can find a comfy spot and stick in it your whole pregnancy, they will move around just always go back to that position, so if the drs aren't worried, there's no need for you to be.

Both my kids seemed to be kicking/headbutting either my bladder or a sore spot where I pulled something in my first pregnancy. I think they find favourite positions where the placenta and your vital organs are best arranged for their comfort (and your discomfort). My now 6 yo used to roll away from scans and kick at the probe...

Hi I am 36 weeks pregnant and in today scan I found my baby changed the position. Currently on sitting position head up and feet in the uterus. My question is there still scope to get right position for normal delivery?
