Hello everyone, I’ve been reading a lot of threads here and there in order to feel better.

I am now 34 weeks and this is my first pregnancy, I have always been a worrier ever since, but starting from 14 weeks I started to worry a lot about the health of my unborn baby, I am really thankful and grateful that the scans, nipt, other exams and the appointments with my OB are going well, but I still worry all the time.
When I was working it used to be less, but now that I am staying at home it gotten worse, I think I am suffering for anxiety, and I am worrying for the fact that I’ve been worried and a bit stress during my pregnancy, do you think this may affect the baby?
Am I the only one who is going through this?
I am just looking for some reassurance to feel better. thank you

Can you mention it to your midwife how you're feeling? I'm sure they'll be glad to support you.

I've been like this in all of my pregnancies! Honestly. I was worried about MC, then abnormalities, then all sorts! And my babies always arrived beautifully healthy. I'd then worry when they were here lol.

Don't worry about your anxiety and the effect on baby. But do open up to your midwife or other professional. It'll be okay xxx

Last person is so right. Please be kind on yourself. Find someone to talk to if you need.

@GoT1904 thank you so much, it is really good to know that I am not the only one who is going through this, and also knowing that you have your beautiful babies even though you’ve been worried too, this helps me a lot, thank you so much xxxx

@SuPem thank you! I know, I’m being very hard with myself, I just can’t help it…

I pretty much panicked my way through both my (successful) pregnancies. I felt like I couldn't enjoy the experience. All ended well (as predicted by the various medical staff) but I'll never forget those feelings. Just be mindful it may present itself after birth so if you recognise the symptoms please tell whoever is in charge of your care, it happened to me but thankfully because I had help I managed to enjoy the baby stage. For me I found great relief in going for a stroll and watching distracting things on TV. You'll get through it just fine with a high probability of supporting someone else on mumsnet with the same situation in the future.
