Signs of early/pre-labour - 36 Weeks?

I've had period pain type cramping in my lower abdomen, so far quite random for the last 2 days and only a couple of times a day but managed to track it during 5 night and they got frequent, much closer together and longer then tapered off. Triage said to just monitor it and if I woke up in pain to let them know as they could then be actual contractions. So far, I haven't been able to sleep but I've had the odd few scattered pains. I had back pain start up with all this too.

Now for the TMI... I've been for my 4th bowel movement in 24 hours. I've been habitually constipated for the majority of my pregnancy and although it's been easier this last week, along with the increased normal toilet breaks, this is something else.

I've been feeling really antsy and anxious the last few days.

Did anyone else have this and how long until labour actually kicked in?

I had this on and off from 34 weeks … I’m now 38 weeks and still very much pregnant. Just keep an eye on and it and to get checked out of you get worried.
my midwife said it’s all normal, just body preparing for labour especially if it’s your first xx

Oh no! It's my second so I thought it might be go time.

At 36 weeks, I'm glad it's not yet though.

I'm just coming up to 37 weeks and am feeling the period cramps, have done for the past week or two. Midwife said it sounded like could be braxton hicks for me

I've now lost a lot more of my mucus plug, no show though. I'm assuming that still means nothing?

I've no idea what labour should be like since I was induced last time. I'm a bit unprepared!
