Starting new job pregnant- when to tell?

I accepted a new job a few days before finding out I'm pregnant. By the time I start I'll be about 14 weeks. When's best to tell them I'm pregnant, on the first day do you reckon or leave it later til I'm more established there (though will probably be obviously pregs by then). It's a large, public sector employer if that makes any difference, and they won't have to pay me any mat leave as I won't qualify. Advice would be much appreciated!

Telling the employer about the pregnancy
Employees must tell their employer about the pregnancy at least 15 weeks before the beginning of the week the baby is due.

This is what's on gov website. So approx 25 week mark is the cut off.

Unless there is a risk assessment needed, I wouldn't inform them on your first day. Focus on getting to grips with your new role. Get a feel for the place, get your post-birth plans sorted, then do them the courtesy of letting them know so they can get your maternity cover sorted.

Ok thank you, that's a good plan. I don't want to leave it so late as to 'spring' it on them, but equally yes, probably not best to lead with the news!
Considered going back on my acceptance, but it's a big promotion for me, and hopefully I'll be there for years, so it's just a small blip in time

Oh that's a difficult one, I suppose it depends what your job role is and risk assessments. Good luck!
