I'm up with sharp back pain, cramps running from all along the bottom of the abdomen (both ovaries and running between) and also sudden nausea.

I'm 33 weeks. Can this just happen on and off for a few weeks until delivery or something to speak to the midwife urgently about? I see the midwife and consultant tomorrow morning anyway.

Oooh that sounds painful. It really is too hard to advise over the internet. I’m not from the UK but is there a 24 hr phone number you can call to speak to a nurse or a midwife? If there is, don’t worry about if it’s an emergency or not just ring them to get proper advice and piece of mind.

Goodluck, wishing you all the best.

You need to call triage now, I imagine at 33 weeks they will want to see and monitor you as that sounds like the start of labour. Good luck!

Yes ring the maternity unit and speak to a midwife.

Best to give them a call, hope all goes well.

Honestly to me that sounds like a severe UTI infection. In any case, definitely worth getting checked.

Thanks for the responses.

I actually fell asleep after and woke up with back/side pain but nothing else.

I've been in and they think it's dehydration, they've tested my urine sample and there's ketones present. It was quite dark too.

It's boiling here so it's possible, I've been waking up in the morning with a mouth like the Sahara.

I feel a bit silly now!
