…I need a shove.

Yesterday baby wasn’t as active as normal. Today has been going wild this afternoon although stopped now. Normally an active (but not this active) baby. Various risk factors (polyhydramnios, gestational diabetes, previous pre eclampsia) but I had a scan on Friday that was fine.

Called MAU and no answer. Called MAU at local hospital who don’t want to see me although “won’t refuse”. My booked hospital is in central London, and on public transport will take me 1.5 hours each way at this time. DH can’t drive me as we have two toddlers.

What would you do? Local hospital is 10 mins away but the midwife on the phone was really pushing for me to go to booked hosp.

I’d just go to your local one, but you do definitely need to go somewhere and be checked

Can you get a taxi to your booking hospital? It may make your life much easier to go there, what if you need to be admitted?

If local hospital aren't going to turn you away just go there. Surely it's the same equipment, highly likely things are fine and you can always move to the other one? 1.5 hours travel seems a long way! Guess it partly depends on why you booked further away and how much you would want to be there if you did need admitting
