Hi all,

I am very early stages of pregnancy and need to get myself checked out Tuesday at Early pregnancy unit because my right side been really hurting but comes and goes. I am meant to work Tuesday morning. I have message my manager need to be at early appointment then should be in after.
I have said will need to contact my doctor tommorow. At the moment my partner know and had to tell a friend.

I am worried that will need to sign off work for awhile this a very important week. I am only many hours usually do two days. I also have Fibromyalgia so in constant pain all the time.
I just wondering what to do.

Feeling really Nauseous don't think I will be able to cope now at work. I have pains in my legs. Lower back pain will be doing lots of standing.

Would you just sign off or try go in see how you feel.
Worried something will go wrong with pregnancy too.
Help

Is the pain where your ovary is? If so, it's highly likely to be the corpus luteum. When the ovary releases an egg, it creates a cyst which essentially ruptures when the egg is released. It can last for some time and can be very painful but if you go for a scan, the sonographer can usually tell you which ovary you ovulated from, resulting in your pregnancy. I had a very painful corpus luteum and had to take paracetamol for several weeks. It did settle down eventually. If you're worried, you should get checked out at the EPU.

Definitely get checked out. It could be nothing serious just stretching pains but it could also be something like an ectopic pregnancy. If the pain gets worse before your appointment don't wait - ring again or go to a&e if it's really bad.

Would you get signed off work? Would you just tell your manager your pregnant even the very early because of the possibility of ectopic and history with pregnancy not great.
It's stocktake and don't think I can really have time off but with this he probably will have to give me leave but know he won't be happy because another staff member on holiday.
He knows my health not good already with fibromyalgia.
I don't know if I should be signed off until knowing pregnancy is okay.
Please any advice

Your health comes first before your job op! Your manager should be sympathetic to this and being pregnant most companies have policies in place to protect pregnant staff. If you aren’t well enough to work you aren’t well enough to work, only you and your doctor can decide that x
