Help with sleep - 36 weeks pregnant

Is anyone else experience this? For the last few weeks I've been finding it so uncomfortable that I dread going to bed and feel relieved to get up in the morning even if it's early. I just can't find a comfortable position even with my pregnancy pillow. I go to sleep on one side but wake up a couple of hours later with aching legs and needing to pee. I then turn over to the other side and repeat the cycle, waking up every few hours. I'm tired all day and making loads of mistakes at work - luckily its my last week at work this week. Any tips on how to get a better sleep and reduce the leg pain? It's mainly constant pain, not the sudden cramps which I've also been having from time to time. My C-section at 38 weeks can't come soon enough!

It’s just an annoyance of being heavily pregnant I’m afraid. Not much longer to go

Sorry but it is just something that happens as pregnancy progresses. Believe me l was going to the toilet 10 times a night!! You don't have too long to go, this is the last bit of the race.

No advice I’m afraid, only sympathy. I’m only 22 weeks and already having sleep issues. Being limited to my right or left side is very frustrating. I also don’t enjoy going to bed, I used to love it before pregnancy 🤦🏻‍♀️ and then when the baby is born, I probably won’t get to sleep well again for years 😬

I didn't suffer from being in pain or uncomfortable but I had terrible insomnia with my 2nd pregnancy. I went to the doc who reminded me that it would pass once the baby's born. She was right! Then you just have to pray your baby's a decent sleeper ...

Thanks all! I figured it might just be one of those things I have to put up with until baby comes. Good practice for lack of sleep with a newborn. One of my colleagues suggested I could enjoy some lie-ins over the 2 weeks I've got off before baby arrives but I just laughed - staying in bed late is not even slightly appealing at the moment 😥
