Should I be worried about fetal head circumference if it is in the normal range but measuring small?

Hi everyone, I was wondering whether anyone had any experiences or feedback on their 12 week ultrasound results in terms of fetal size that they would be willing to share? (Please bear with my with my question/concerns as it is a little long-winded.)

This is my second pregnancy (unfortunately we spontaneously lost our first at 13+4 weeks) and understandably this has made me incredibly anxious for my current pregnancy.

We attended our 12 week ultrasound scan, and have had our combined tests results back (which have come back as negative). The scan appeared to go well, and the sonographer showed us babies heartbeat, arms, legs, skull, spine etc. However, when I got home I checked through the paperwork and saw that although the fetus is measuring within the "normal" ranges for CRL, BPD and HC, the head circumference is at the lower end of "normal" (it looks to be around the 15% centile on the graph). I did contact my midwifery team and they responded to say try to not to worry as babies come in all shapes and sizes and it is currently still within normal ranges, but it will be remeasured at the 20 week scan to check for microcephaly. Obviously having read up on microcephaly, I am incredibly worried and anxious.

Has anyone had any experience whereby their fetus' head circumference was measuring below average but still within the "normal" range at their 12 week scan, but had caught up, or measured a little more towards the 50 centile at the 20 week scan? Do fetal heads increase throughout pregnancy? Or has anyone had a fetus that was measuring small head circumference but within normal ranges, and have given birth to a baby - and were there any health issues/learning disabilities? Am I worrying about nothing and being overly anxious?

Apologies for the lengthy message, but any experiences would be greatly appreciated, and although I am in essence hoping for reassurance, I am also a realist and would prefer honest answers. Many thanks in advance.

@KayTay88
You probably should just take advice of your Midwife and stay off Google..
It’s too easy to be worried sick by Googling anything- I’m sure if your healthcare team were concerned, they’d have said something.
Try not to get worried sick ( I’m a worrier so understand)
:)
