I'm technically 35 weeks, but midwife measures me at 38weeks. (they have always measured me 3 weeks ahead of what I am) but baby still laying transverse. Worried about having to have c section.
Has anyone had the same? When did your babies move? or do they not?

DD flipped to breech at 37 weeks - they can still turn. Though if you are measuring much bigger, it's unlikely there will be room. What did the midwife say about it, are you being referred to the consultant.

If your baby is definitely transverse a caesarian is unavoidable I'm afraid. Have a look through the pregnancy board here - there have been a few ladies going through the same over the last few days.

Baby could still move. How long has s/he been transverse?

Baby has always been transverse as long as it's been big enough to tell.

Acupuncture can sort that out for you. Really well worth it. If you were in Sydney I could recommend a practitioner, but hopefully you can find someone good in your area. Do not delay.

My dd turned at 38 weeks. Lots of hanging over a birthing ball, cleaning the kitchen floor and quite a few headstands (although don't try that one if you haven't done any yoga before . There is a yoga move you can do which is called the 8's where you get on your hands and needs and imagine you have a pen in your mouth and are drawing a big figure of 8! Hard to explain but really good. Do it a few times a couple of times a day. Also good for in labour.

Also, my dd was transverse for quite a while and had quite a few sleep problems. Cranial Oesteopath said it is quite common with transverse babies (although she was also back to back labour) and I really wish I had taken her when she was tiny. Just worth bearing in mind.

Good luck.
