Baby transverse at 35 weeks

Hi all anyone have any experience with this? I had my 35 week midwife appointment yesterday and was told baby is transverse position.

If in 2 weeks time baby still hasn't turned then they are going to offer me a EVC at 37 weeks?? If that does work is planned c section at 39 weeks. I'm worried she won't then. Any ideas?

There was another thread on this a week or so ago - my baby was transverse, back to back and facing with limbs up. Huge risk for us as he was threatening to be early with p-prom. But he actually turned yesterday morning at 35 plus 6. Still head down today although not sure if he can properly engage as I have a complete placenta previa. Makes no odds to me as he is c-section at 36 plus 3!

they might want to keep you in hospital closer to your due date if baby doesn’t move. Maybe get a bag packed just in case.

I had a scan from a very nice senior consultant and I asked if there was anything I could do to help baby turn and he said ‘think beautiful thoughts’. I found that comforting as what will be will be!

Thank you @Passanotherjaffacake ! I am booked in for a c section at 39 weeks if baby doesn't move within the next couple of weeks. I've tried everything... I have a birthing ball but I'm not even sure if I'm doing the right movements. I've tried laying down with hips raised but I can't get high enough! I'm worried if it's the way I'm sitting or sleep (on my side). She is a very curled up tight and comfortable baby- even on the scans we had to get her to move so we could check her properly!!

Mine moved when I was sleeping on my side - woke up to a different bump shape and huge pressure in my pelvis. So can definitely happen when sleeping on your side.

defo be prepared in case they want you to stay in between the failed turn and the section though. I’ve been in for 5 weeks! Have a few other issues though but just be ready in case.

Thank you @Passanotherjaffacake I'm sleeping on either side during the night at the moment. I've tried everything I can but I know she is still curled up due to the shape of my bump and where I can feel her bum.

Suitcase ready and packed Grin
