13 week old baby and pregnant again

Hello,

Yesterday I got a really faint line on a test and retested with a CBD at night which confirmed “pregnant”.

I have an older child at 7 and a 13 week old baby. I’m absolutely terrified how I will cope, I’m also quite scared of how my family will react especially my Mum.

My 13 week old has been a really unsettled baby and I’ve often required my Mum’s help when my DH is working away (hence why I’m scared of her reaction)

Has anyone else been in a similar situation?

Morning everyone,

couldn’t sleep last night for thinking about it, decided we would manage.

Woke up this morning with quite red blood, wondering if it’s AF or implantation? But after readingonline red blood isn’t typical with implantation.

Even more confused now 🙁

@mummybof2
It could be a chemical pregnancy, so soon after you get a positive you get your period. So egg fertilises but does not implant.

Two under one?? Crikey. Will they be in the same school year? 😬

I’m pondering a second one but if I’m honest, I can’t be arsed to go through it all again. My first is a toddler now and is such an easy kid that I don’t want to risk the next one being a PITA. So I might not bother. But I do sometimes wish I’d just not hung about and got it done while life was already a bit shit with a baby.

Ha no they won’t be in the same year. I’ve a two and a half year old and he was a good baby - keeps me busy now though! But he loves his little sister - if you aren’t completely against it go for it!!

@Babyghirl In a chemical pregnancy the embryo does implant. You can't get a positive pregnancy test unless implantation occurs. Could be a chemical - are you bleeding lots OP?

I'm 37 weeks at the mo. When I first got pregnant I was bleeding (Loads and loads of brown) over the weekend that I had my positive. Then the following week it was pink. GP told me probably miscarrying but my fertility nurse told me that's ridiculous and could easily be implantation. You'll only know if it turns into a heavy red bleed.
Praying it stays positive. Every child is a blessing. And hope you're doing ok!x

That must have been so worrying for you @Babyghirl glad everything is going well now and wish you all the best.

I do agree that all children are a complete blessing I think yesterday I was just in complete shock and the full “how will I cope” was taking over.

Since I posted the bleeding has got much heavier and the pains are unbearable, currently on the phone to NHS24.

x

Hi !
First off- congratulations. Give yourself time to enjoy the news before telling anyone. Also , please try not to worry about your mum. I worry so much - so i do understand but a baby is amazing news .

I have DS 8 months and I would kill for another we just can’t afford it . I think daily about how badly I want another . I know I have to wait abs I hate it . I would much rather be pregnant now whilst DS can’t crawl then when he is in the terrible twos and can run around !

i totally understand your worry but it is such a blessing xx

How's it going OP?xx

mummybof2 · 09/06/2022 21:34

Hello @beansprout55 ,

Thank you so much for asking. Unfortunately they believe I was having a chemical pregnancy. The bleeding was really severe, it's been a week I will never forget. Mixed emotions xx
