Sudden increase in braxton hicks at 23 weeks

I’m 23 weeks and usually get maybe 2-3 braxton hicks a week. Last 3-4 days Iv had about 15 per day! They go regular a couple of times so I’ll get like 3-4 10 mins apart then tbey stop. I’m having one now as I type this it’s 12pm and this is my 7th today since waking up at 7am.
is this normal for them to suddenly increase ? Baby moves fine, no unusual discharge

Have you told your midwife ? I would mention it as that does seem an awful lot to have at this gestation. I may be wrong but they're more common in 3rd trimester so frequently.
I'm 22 weeks and have had 1 so far but we're all different

I would get checked OP. I had this in my first pregnancy starting at about 20 weeks and it only got worse and worse till eventually turning into real labour at 33 weeks.

I kept reading that BH were normal so didn't push it as much as I should have. In this pregnancy I had my first episode of regular BH at 23 weeks and went straight to triage where they examined my cervix and did a foetal fibronectin test to check I wasn't in labour. They also prescribed progesterone to try and reduce future contractions. Since then I've been told to go in at the first hint of regular contractions for another exam and fibronectin test, though thankfully I've only had to go in once more since then.

how did it go?

Hope all went well with the MW. If it makes you feel any better, during all of my successful pregnancies (3) I experienced major braxton hicks all the way from around 12 weeks. I gave birth at 39, 41, 41+1 so no premature labour as a result!

It did make identifying the real thing "fun" though as they were very regular and painful all the way through, but especially towards the end!
