Hi I’m just wondering if anyone has been in this situation before or knows anyone who has

Basically I have a daughter who is 22 months

And a son who is 4 months old there age gap is 17 months apart both c sections

I had my 6 weeks check doctor put me on the pill but I was having bad aura migraines so he said to stop taken them pill and I was gonna be getting booked in with the nurse to have the implant but 2 days ago I’ve found out I’m pregnant again I’m only around 5 weeks pregnant I’m not sure on what to do I’m worried in case anything bad is gonna happen I kno you should wait 12/18 months but it’a happened now and I don’t wanna get rid of my baby

So just seeing if anyone has had children this close together ?

X

Might be best to seek actual medical advice on this. I've no idea how long the uterus needs to fully heal after a section, I mean how long the uterine incision needs.....to avoid any chance of rupture.

@Regenbogen22 hi I’ve just got of the phone to the midwife and she said it takes 3 months for uterus to fully heal and she has had women getting pregnant 8weeks 10 weeks after and been okay but she said There’s always a risk with pregnancies close together so I’d be classed as high risk
I’m just confused on what to do
thank you for replying to my post x

Why are you confused what to do? You have said you wish to keep the baby. Hopefully the midwife will keep a close eye on you to avoid any ruptures.

Lo12345 · 18/05/2022 13:52

@Charlavail just because I am scared of my rupturing yeah they said they will keep a close eye on me more this time around

Just make sure you mention it each time you speak to or see the midwife/doctor, then they can keep an eye on it.

@Regenbogen22 yeah I will do speaking to the GP next week x

I had emergency section and conceived baby number 2 where eldest was 4 months old. There’s a 13 month age gap between them. I was worried about rupture but actually the consultant wasn’t, they said the risk is so tiny. So don’t worry all will be fine. Congratulations!

Furrbabymama87 · 18/05/2022 14:25

I've had 4 sections. The smallest gap I had between having a section and getting pregnant again was 7 months. So a bit more than you but no doctor ever mentioned there being a risk of rupture and it was all fine.

Lo12345 · 18/05/2022 15:12

@Username1234321 yeah that’s what I’m worried about is my s we rupturing and with my c sections all being close together well my daughter was Nearly 9 months when I found out I was pregnant with my 4 month old and his pregnancy was better than my first I’ll just have to hope and pray I’ll be okay 🤞 x

@Furrbabymama87 hopefully everything will be okay just with me having 3 pregnancies close together is a worry my midwife did say it’s very rare and she hasn’t ever seen it but it does happen so I will be classed as high risk x
