Do any other mommas here have mould in their bedroom?

Do any other pregnant mommas have mold in their bedroom near the window? I am getting it sorted soon because the window is being replaced but I worry over it. I feel fine & it doesn’t affect me unless I mess with it but I worry about baby 💓

I did emzo but we got our windows replaced and re-decorated. We used mould resistant paint and wallpaper paste as well. Also, after bath/shower keep the window open for at least an hour to let moisture out. We have a dehumidifier for winter.

Don’t panic about the effect on your pregnancy, but it is wise to get it sorted before you have a baby sleeping in the room.

Thank you for this reply!

the window is being replaced within the next 4 weeks and she is due in 8 weeks so it’ll definitely be done before she’s here. If she came early, I’d sleep on the sofa and have her crib in the living room until the window is sorted out

Yep we have, unfortunately, a lot in our bedrooms round the windows- absolutely shit double glazing from the 70s, soo much condensation.
Have had two children in that house, both healthy and happy. relax.

Yes, this reminds me I need to sort ours out as well! It's on the windowsill, I'm currently 20 weeks.

We had some there during my last pregnancy and he's now a healthy happy 20 month old

@emzo19 after you get new windows maybe get a couple of these and pop them on the windowsills that tend to be affected by damp/moisture:

If you mean around the window sealant I wouldn’t worry too much, although I personally would paint it with something to kill the mould now, like white vinegar which any supermarket will have for £1-2.

If you mean on the plaster then you have a bigger problem and I’d be moving the baby into a different room until it’s sorted.
