Intense pressure when walking

So at my midwife appointment on Wednesday I got told babies head was not yet engaged and was just resting to the side of my pelvis. Yesterday I started getting an intense aching sensation in my vagina whenever I stand up and try to walk. Doesn’t seem to hurt when I’m sat down. Does this mean baby’s head has finally engaged? I’m 39 weeks and already fed up at not being able to walk far due to hip pain. Now it feels like baby is going to drop out whenever I walk anywhere 😂 This is my second and I don’t remember it being like this with my first! Was joking with my DH that he’d have to start wheeling me round in the wheelbarrow soon 🤣

I'd say so! I remember walking to pick DD up from school, it's literally round the corner but I was in agony and really struggled. I woke up in labour at 5am the following morning. Good luck!

I've got this at 32 weeks with my 2nd baby. The sonographer at my last growth scan said her head was so deep in my pelvis she struggled to get head measurements and to check her brain. I'm so paranoid I'm going to end up having her early! It's horrible isn't it. Got the full blown waddle going on now x

Sympathies OP!

I don’t really remember it happening at all with DC1, so I think she wasn’t really engaged until labour itself, but DC2 dropped a week or so before he arrived and it was bloody uncomfortable- like walking around with a bowling ball in my pelvis. The pressure on the cervix caused sudden, sharp pains; in the cervix itself but also right up the bum, so that was delightful. 😂

Can’t be too long now before you have your baby in your arms!
