Hi all, looking for others who have experienced the same and what was the outcome? At my booking appointment at 10 weeks I was discovered to have high blood pressure, admitted to hospital and put onto medication that was back in March, I haven’t seen a midwife since.. on Tuesday I wasn’t feeling well and took my blood pressure at home and again it was high.. I called the midwife’s and they sent someone out to the house to do ut too and it was high still, I’ve since been to hospital again and they did blood work which was all fine, I’m 21 weeks now and I’m just going out of my mind with worry, I’m under consultant care and will be having my urine and blood pressure tested at home by a midwife once a week for the remainder of my pregnancy, I’m just so worried because they keep throwing the word preeclampsia around and untill I get 24 weeks I know if I get it it’s game over for my baby girl and I’m just so worried and anxious about it.

Hey please try not to worry about this, the more you worry the higher you blood pressure will climb.
It could be a case thag you’ve had high blood pressure for a while and it’s only been spotted due to being pregnant!
I had high blood pressure throughout my pregnancy. My blood pressure and urine was monitored 3 times a week. I was on medication and then off it. My baby was absolutely fine! Once I hit 37 weeks my blood pressure got even higher, I was kept in hospital to be monitored and then they increased my medication for the last couple of weeks. I managed throughout my whole pregnancy with it and my baby was born at 39 weeks and was healthy.
Its good that they are monitoring you, don’t worry too much about preeclampsia. They need to make you aware so you know what signs to look out for but even with it, you can still have a healthy pregnancy and baby! I know we all worry about getting to the 24 week mark, you’re so close!
Try doing things to help you feel more relaxed, take a bath, go a small walk, look after yourself and hopefully your blood pressure will start to come down a little .
