So despite lots of precautions and taking different tasks in work so not public facing. I've caught covid. I am an essential worker so all through epidemic I was working and never caught it.

I'm 15 weeks and scared. Had caught and sneeze. That was it.

Have you been vaccinated?
Outcomes are better if you have been
You will likely be ok anyway

My dd caught covid at 36 weeks. She was fully vaccinated and mainly had a cough.
Both dd and newborn are fine.

Try not to worry.

Pregnantpolly · 30/04/2022 14:08

I'm boosted but even still. Just worry. It's only since April we started not wearing masks in work and since I declared I was pregnant I don't deal with members of the public. I've used sanitiser all the way throughout.

@dementedpixie I am so that's one thing in my favour.

@Whooshaagh that's good news.

I had it at 17 weeks, I let my midwife know and the covid midwife called me every few days to check on me, I felt really tired and a bit crap, but was otherwise ok and back to running after a week. Rest up, let your midwife know and get lots of fluids in you

I had it at 28 weeks - 2 vaccines no booster

My mains symptoms were body aches and tiredness, and a mild cough but nothing to major ! It did take me a week or 2 to fully recovery but me and baby are doing fine since 🙂

Rest up and stay hydrated

LoveSpringDaffs · 30/04/2022 19:10

Take good care of yourself! Let your midwife know & a couple of good friends. Do you have a DH/partner?

hopefully it'll be mild for you x

EarringsandLipstick · 30/04/2022 19:25

You'll be completely fine OP. Just rest & take care.

I recently had Covid at around 19/20 weeks. I was terrified as I lost my little boy when I was pregnant last year (completely unrelated to Covid).
I contacted Tommy's charity as I'm being seen by their clinicians. I highly recommend looking on their website as they are a 100% reliable source and have done a lot of research into Covid and pregnancy.
I will tell you what the midwife there told me as it brought me a lot of comfort.
They have had no fully vaccinated women need to be hospitalised with Covid. The women who have had to be hospitalised have been those unvaccinated.
They did a lot of research into links between Covid and fetal abnormalities and found no link whatsoever.
They recommended I by an pulse oximeter to keep an eye on oxygen levels which I did.
I have since had 2 scans and a placental screen and my little one is absolutely fine 😊 someone even said it may be that some antibodies have been passed onto her!
It's easier said than done, but try not to worry and if you want any advice then contact your midwife or maternity unit rather than googling!
Hope you feel better soon!
