Struggling with first trimester

Hello everyone! I think I’m just looking for a bit of reassurance. I’m 8 weeks pregnant with an unplanned pregnancy (my first) and oh my word I never expected it to be quite this bad. I was expecting the sickness but I’ve got all day nausea with what feels like constant dizziness/spaced out feeling and the exhaustion is next level. I’ve had to reduce my hours at work and even the smallest of tasks completely take it out of me. I guess I’m asking is this normal and when does it get better? I hate to admit it but I’m really really struggling.

Yeah normal. I'm currently on my second pregnancy and about the same time in as you. I am really really struggling but from what I remember this was peak shitness.
By about week 12 my morning sickness ( all day really) had dissipated and I got some energy back.
Got very tired again in 3rd trimester. It will get better hold in there

I never got sickness or dizziness so I can’t help on that point but I did get tiredness. I say to my friends who haven’t been pregnant however tired you think you have been this is times 100. From 5 weeks to 10 weeks I was completely exhausted with the most sensitive nipples. They was my only symptoms and they went around 10 weeks. Everyone is completely different placenta usually takes over been 8 and 12 weeks so most people’s symptoms get better somewhere in that time. If it helps I am currently 32 weeks and felt perfectly fine from 10 to 30 weeks and tiredness is creeping back in but I think that’s due to waking up through the night due to uncomfortableness and need to wee all the time. Give it a few weeks and then you should hopefully have a good 4 months of feeling ok.

Yes! Completely normal. My DDs are 16 and 17 now and I still remember the exhaustion- there is nothing like it. And the 24 hour nausea!

The only time I didn't feel sick was when I was eating.

Mine passed by week 14 but the weeks leading up to that really dragged.

It will pass.

The exhaustion is beyond anything. I am six weeks and honestly I have never felt this tired in previous pregnancies
