If you're definite that you've lost 4kg in two days then you need to swe your GP.

Agree with contacting your gp. For me the only thing that helped was never allowing my stomach to be empty. I practically snacked during every waking hour . It didn't eliminate it but it did help an awful lot.

In 2 weeks* ive been on 5 different tablets to stop the vomiting but its just not working. I dont see my midwife until 29th this month (remote living) people have said that ginger is a good thing to add into foods... but again strong smells for me is a nope

Yes this. Contact your GP. I had hyperemisis and wanted to murder anyone who told me to have some ginger when I felt sick. Hope you feel better soon! Thanks

If you are not keeping anything down call your local labour ward. 29th is too long to wait and it's a bank holiday....

You need to speak to your GP, local maternity ward or A&E (if the former are not open or not yet an option), it sounds like it's very possible you have Hyperemesis.

Imo, ginger and anti sickness bands which my GP suggested initially with both HG pregnancies did not work. Ginger and anything spiced is horrendous to vomit back up too. They did change my medication frequently and there's a scale so if the initial tablets don't work, there's others which are stronger that you can try.

Small sips and small bites of plain foods (carby, nothing greasy worked for me) regularly should help get you through. With my first HG pregnancy I'd try and eat half a plain (no butter) ham sandwich over 2 hours when I was hungry. Smells from hot foods were a massive trigger. Whatever you eat, don't push yourself to eat whole meals or drink a whole glass at once as more than likely they'll just come straight back up.

Try the Hyperemesis Support thread too, there's some really great advice on there.

just entering my 6th month, first baby and still suffering from terrible sickness. Have felt a bit fobbed off by doctors to be honest and am constantly told it’s all normal. Am not able to keep anything down for days at a time and have no appetite at all. Ended up in A&E yesterday and had no check up from maternity doctors and no one checked on baby. I have also not had much contact with my midwife at all. My question is, is this normal? And how much contact should I be having with my midwife at this point? Any tips on sickness would be great too 😊😊

I didn't have HG thankfully but was sick atleast once most days for weeks and nauseous. Main thing I found that helped was full fat Coca Cola. No idea why but I still always have some in the fridge for the odd sick day even now at 21 weeks. Hope it will pass for you at some point 💕.

Hey

Try sparkling water, it really helped me.
