Fell over while pregnant

So I made a fool of myself earlier, I was at the park with my 2yo kicking a ball around and somehow managed to trip over the ball and fall over backwards, landing on my bum/back. Very amusing for my son and for all the people who saw however I'm worried, I'm 14 weeks pregnant thinking, could I have done any damage?? Do I need to look out for anything or get checked out or something. Any advice/ reassurance would be great

Hope you are okay as I know how scary it is to fall when pregnant as I slipped in the bath earlier this week and I’m 23 weeks pregnant.

I went to the emergency antenatal unit to be checked over as I landed on my front, but mainly to get the anti-d injection as I’m rhesus negative.

I would advise getting checked over as it’s better to be safe than sorry and be continually worrying if baby is all good in there.

Positive news, although I’m covered in bruises, baby was unfazed so they are well protected in there!

I fell down the stairs when I was less than 10 weeks pregnant. I was worried but the baby was fine. They're so well protected in there. How far away is your hospital? If you're concerned you could always go to the early maternity unit and ask the midwife to check the heartbeat. I did that once when the kicks stopped one day and the midwife was so reassuring and helpful.

I fell flat on my stomach at about 34 weeks (at some velocity!). The hospital didn't even want me to come in; they said it would be fine unless I was bleeding.

(This is not to tell you not to go in, just hopefully to reassure you that they are very well padded - the baby is here now and not a bit dented!)

I fell over 3 times in one day when I was 14 weeks’ pregnant. I’d bought new flat boots and worn them to work. Unfortunately the soles were surprisingly slippery. I phoned my GP for advice as like you, I was worried, but they weren’t concerned at all. Hope you’re feeling ok. Falls can really shake you up.

I fell downstairs at 6 months pregnant. Was sore but baby was fine. Also fell on my arse out walking on a muddy slope. Again baby was fine. Was advised just to keep an eye for bleeding.

Thankyou all for your replies, it's reassured me a lot, I will keep an eye out for bleeding ect and may give my GP a call tomorrow however I doubt they will be concerned at all. Glad everyone's baby's we're all okay after, pregnancy must make us extra clumsy or something as I don't think I've ever fallen like that in public before my whole life! 🥴🤦🏼‍♀️

In my area you can call the early pregnancy unit and they will assess over the phone. They will ask you to go in if there's something of concern, or make a non-urgent appointment, or tell you it's fine to stay home and advise on things to look out for.

Maybe google early pregnancy unit in your area and see if that's available to you? Mine is staffed 24/7.

Another one who fell downstairs here (fainted after seeing blood, thinking I'd miscarried), baby is fine (now 11 weeks old!)

My friend tripped over a pothole and fell at 8 months pregnant and she's just given birth to a healthy baby. I'm sure you'll be fine just keep an eye out for anything that doesn't feel right.
