Sore crotch

Hi all,

But TMI but my crotch/ vagina is really sore! I'm 24 weeks. It feels like I've been kicked by a horse there! Any ideas what it is? I've tried Google and it doesn't sound like lightening crotch because the pain is constant. Not overwhelming though but sore to walk.

Could you have an infection starting? Are toy still able to go to toilet properly? May also just be your hormones and body adapting to all the changes!

Am 31 weeks and have had this for a couple of months now. It’s the strangest thing isn’t it. When explaining it to my friend I couldn’t think of the word crotch and said I’ve got sore vagina bones 😂😂😂 I think it’s pelvic girdle pain mine hurts and clicks when I turn over in sleep. Try sleeping with a pillow between your legs

Thanks, it doesn't feel like a kidney infection or anything. I started sleeping with a pillow between my legs 2 nights ago so hopefully that helps. It feels very tender/ bruised. I'm in with the midwife Thursday so hopefully she'll be able to give me some advice. I'm not really feeling movement yet just the odd little flutter. If I could feel him better I think it would put me at ease

I have this and have had it a few weeks now. My midwife says it can be normal and it can be pressure of carrying weight/excess water. It can also be due to the way baby is lying. To be honest it sounded like a lot of waffle but I’m glad she didn’t seem concerned and I don’t have an infection. My friend who’s a doctor said it could be the start of varicose veins down there. It can get so sore though, I feel your pain. Hopefully it goes away soon!

Have a look at what we used to call SPD…I think names have changed since I got this 27 years ago!

Midwife can check for this at antinatel checkup by pressing on pubic bone carefully …any issues she thinks can then be followed up in more detail
