Feels like baby has no room.... anyone else?

I'm 37 weeks pregnant and I genuinely feel like my poor son has no room in my tummy.

I'm up again (pregnancy insomnia) and I can feel hiccups by my hip, something in my ribs, pushing right under my boobs and I have lightning crouch where he must be pushing down (ALL AT THE SAME TIME). I'm super uncertain and can't only lay back with hands in the air to get any relief from all the pressure? It is making me pretty miserable and he can't be comfortable in there either!

I guess this may be totally normal but I certainly do not remember any of this with my DD (although that was 10 years ago). Anyone else experiencing the same??! If so, how do you cope 😥

I’m also 37 weeks pregnant and I’m so bloody uncomfortable. I feel like my little boy is doing a head stand on my pubic bone and I’m convinced I must have a dent in my right rib from where he’s constantly kicking me there. I can’t sleep as I just can’t get comfortable no matter how I sit, lie or stand. I feel so ridiculously heavy that I feel like someone should need to operate a crane in order to get me out of bed or off the sofa. You have my sympathies, OP Flowers

Thanks for you reply - sounds like it is probably normal then!

I am propped up in bed with 6 pillows strategically placed all around me - which was a pain when I had to get up for a snack at 4am 😳

Do you also feel rubbish if laying on your back (propped up a bit) for a short amount of time?? Starting to get to me and the concept of possibly being pregnant for another 3/4 weeks feels me with nothing but dread - not sure there is anymore growing room!!

A crane sounds extremely useful right now !

Oh bless you. I feel rubbish even if I roll onto my back momentarily just to try and get out of bed. It’s the weight of the baby pressing on your vena cava apparently. It makes me feel something similar to travel sickness is the best way I can describe it.

I’ve got an elective C-section booked for 13 days time but I was diagnosed with a high risk of pre-term labour when I was 34 weeks after being rushed to hospital with a scare, so now I’m on tenterhooks waiting to see if baby turns up early or not. He’s so low down I can’t see him hanging on for almost another two weeks. Doesn’t make the insomnia any easier either, just constantly worrying!
