Has anyone heard of the new problem going on with free range eggs ? The only thing I can take in is eggs for breakfast, that too runny and I heard it’s safe as long as they are British lion labelled. But a week ago I heard the whole free remage eggs aren’t free range anymore and got confused so stopped having them. But I just realised it’s not the same thing is it ? Free range and British lion label are different things ? So I can still eat them right ?

If they have red lion stamp, they are fine :)

The lion stamp means you can be sure the the chicken are vaccinated against salmonella. Free range means said chickens get to peck about outside. Totally different thing. So yes you can still eat them, but where possible go free range for the chickens, not because of your pregnancy.

this issue is because of avian flu. Chickens have had to be kept inside for months (to stop the spread of the virus). I’m not aware of any risk from eggs Re the avian flu, the issue is they have been kept inside so can’t legally be called free range. The risk with eggs is salmonella but if they have the lion stamp they should be fine.
