Work demands whilst on matleave? Advice appreciated please.

Can work demand tasks to be completed whilst on matleave?

I can't believe some of these responses! When you're on leave, you're on leave and shouldn't be expected to work. That is a healthy boundary to set. Some employers take the piss and think they own you, don't fall for it.

I'm on mat leave and all of my mandatory training will expire whilst I am off and I'll have to do in when I return. Their targets will show I'm not compliant but that's no my problem; they should have a way of the system recognising absence from work.

The only thing I will do is click a couple of buttons to keep my professional registration going on my online account.

I wouldn't be working at all during Mat leave unless it was a pre-arranged KIT day.
