Say its not just me.
I'm 28 weeks, in the last 10 minutes I've just had to apply thrush cream, piles cream, take lactulose, 2 gaviscon, my 3rd antibiotic of the day and 2 paracetamol.
I'm not sat with a hot water bottle on my back having fairly painful braxton hicks, wanting to fall asleep but in too much pain to even consider it 😅 (not just the BH)
This is in fact my fourth pregnancy and I disliked all of them. Luckily it's all short lived and you get a great reward at the end of it. But seriously when am I going to start being radiant and bloom??

34+2. Just did what I thought would be a burp but instead vomited into my mouth. I am beyond done and will never ever ever put myself through this again.

Sorry to hear you're having such a rough pregnancy. I was very lucky and absolutely loved mine. I felt great and was very lucky to have no sickness etc. I developed pre eclampsia and had to go to hospital check ups twice a week but still felt fine within myself. Hoping to have a second child and would love for that pregnancy to be the same although I appreciate it may be totally different second time around
This is how I thought, my first pregnancy was a breeze I absolutely loved being pregnant and missed it the minute I wasn't. I've waited four years to get pregnant again, due soon and it's been a complete nightmare the whole pregnancy 😩😩 thought I may have got lucky a second time but infact I got the complete opposite
dipdye · 18/03/2022 22:53

It ain't glam

RussianSpy101 · 18/03/2022 22:54

God that sounds tough OP. I think I fell lucky as I’ve never had piles or thrush or needed any of those medicines or Gaviscon with any of my 3 pregnancies.
Not too long to go now! Good luck!

Thanks.. that's a really helpful comment amongst a group of women looking for solidarity in the midst of their misery
UncomfortableBadger · 19/03/2022 06:53

Yup, totally with you OP.

24 weeks in but still being violently sick, plus insomnia has kicked in this week, the pregnancy rhinitis won’t go away & it’s become a crap game of “guess which bit of my body will hurt the most this week”. Very jealous of those who have entirely symptom free pregnancies.

rosewater20 · 19/03/2022 07:16

I am 20 weeks with my 2nd baby and have nauseated the whole time and on anti sickness meds. @UncomfortableBadger
I have been dealing with pregnancy rhinitis for a month too but my doctor just told me that it was safe to take a hay fever nose spray, like, Pirinase Allergy spray, and that has cleared things really well (though check with your midwife). I think it works to reduce the swelling that pregnancy rhinitis causes.

AnIckabog · 19/03/2022 07:31

I have found my people. I'm only 6 weeks but already experiencing so much stretching pain and the sickness has kicked in with a vengeance. I do not know how I will manage another 34 weeks of this but I'm also terrified I'll miscarry and won't have to and that would be even worse!

SunnySideUp2020 · 19/03/2022 07:39

Second pregnancy. I wasnt a huge fan of tbe first.
Now pregnancy with a toddler.
I hate it.
I have a breastfeeding aversion.
I am nauseous.
I feel shit all the time.
I wonder why I wanted another one so badly 🥲

AwkwardPaws27 · 19/03/2022 10:34

@rosewater20 I had fecking awful pregnancy rhinitis too. I'm 29 weeks now and (touch wood!) it seems to have cleared up for the last few weeks, so hopefully yours will too!

AskingforaBaskin · 19/03/2022 10:51

I have had three children. I hated every moment of pregnancy. It wasn't something to enjoy it was just a way to get the children I wanted.

My youngest is 2 and I am still living with the aches and pains that carrying them all brought on.

lavenderfine · 19/03/2022 10:52

I hate pregnancy, with both of mine I've had crippling SPD from about 20 weeks, like can barely walk. Then to top it off I've had pre-eclampsia with both! I love the babies, hate carrying and growing them😂

SpaghettiNotCourgetti · 19/03/2022 11:00

32 weeks. I'm elephantine and do NOT understand how this baby could possibly grow any more. I also have PGP and my ribs hurt, and then by the ends of the day my ankles are all fat and my feet hurt, too. The fucking constant heartburn makes me want to Aztec sacrifice myself for a bit of relief.

And this is my second! I can't even plead ignorance because it was shit the first time round, as well!

RussianSpy101 · 19/03/2022 11:35

@streamee you ok?

GinnyBee · 19/03/2022 14:06

32 weeks with my first and am not enjoying this! By all measures I've had an easy pregnancy, but I still don't like it. I haven't had any sickness, just felt a bit hungover in first trimester, I have no aches or pains, haven't started having (or at least noticed) braxton hicks, I'm able to still go on 2-3h walks with my dog, clean the house, do home workouts, generally keep active. Just the occasional bit of heartburn and the bump gets in the way now. I even sleep ok-ish - some nights are shit but others I'm getting 8 hours uninterrupted. And even then this isn't my favourite thing I've done!

Everyone keeps asking me how I'm doing and clearly expecting a gushy answer and then look uncomfortable when I tell them quite honestly that I'm fed up and very ready to not be pregnant anymore.

Sprat12 · 19/03/2022 14:39

I couldn't agree more, I cannot express how much I am hating this. First (and only) pregnancy. I'm 34w tomorrow. Have rapidly worsening fibro so constantly in pain, can't take the level of pain meds I need to keep it under control so can't sleep. Awful SPD, anaemia, nausea, exhaustion. Dr initially said she would induce me at 37/38 weeks due to pain management, she has now said she will induce at 39 weeks with a sweep at 38. I know it's only a matter of a week or two but I could honestly weep at the idea of another 5 weeks of this hell. I don't have the energy to do anything, and I am bored to tears.

The3rdWatermelon · 19/03/2022 14:47

I’m 10 weeks tomorrow. I’ve been ok, constantly nauseous and exhausted, but I’ve had a stressful week at work and last night the sick really kicked in and I was up and down throwing up all night. Ive had restless legs and a migraine (I’m prone to them anyway but this was just relentless). I’m currently crying in the bath because I feel so guilty about going through 4 years of IVF only to not be enjoying the pregnancy bit.

UncomfortableBadger · 19/03/2022 15:33

Thanks @rosewater20 - I’ll give that spray a try Smile

Liliana07 · 19/03/2022 16:16

As much as your replies mean you're also all miserable I am glad it's not just me. Like some have said it almost seems taboo to say you are hating/not enjoying it. I've had another day spent in DAU with another bleed this morning too. Thankfully home in time to send DP to the chippy for tea!

Yep I certainly didn't enjoy either of mine.

SouperNoodle · 19/03/2022 23:45

I have 2 DC and absolutely loathe pregnancy. I was so unwell with both and found it traumatic.
DH went for a vasectomy when our youngest was 2 months old and I've never felt so relieved in my life.
I hope all your pregnancies go quickly and smoothly x

Snoopy28x · 21/03/2022 20:49

31 weeks here.. baby 3. I am aneamic, just been diagnosed with gestational diabetes so having to test blood sugar 4 x a day plus control it with diet, I've got pelvic girdle pain so cant walk far without being in alot of pain, add in weeing 4 x a night and the restless legs. I am so counting down the days lol x

Liliana07 · 21/03/2022 21:05

Sounds so rough that!!

Pinktruffle · 21/03/2022 22:07

I'm pregnant with number 2 and not enjoying it. I had horrible nausea and all day sickness with no.1 and PGP from mid second trimester onwards. This time I'm 9 weeks and all the sickness and nausea is worse and the bloody PGP has already started, the baby isn't even the size a bean! I am not looking forward to the next 7 months
