Pelvic pain

I'm 34 weeks so not long left but the pelvic pain I've been experiencing has been HELL.

Earlier on in my pregnancy, I'd go swimming 2/3 times a week which would really help. I also had physiotherapy which didn't make much of a difference but I was grateful for the sessions nonetheless. When I was about 20 weeks the pain got much more bearable and wasn't that bad.

Fast forward to the last week or so, the pelvic pain I was experiencing has moved from one side of my back to the whole of my front. It's the worst when I'm in bed, especially when I'm trying to turn over🤦‍♀️ I have a pillow in between my legs which helps but just wondered if anyone has any tips as I'm literally in agony all day. It hurts to walk and take any steps too.

Can I just add that I had PGP badly in my last pregnancy but the pain was more aimed at my back and I knew what to do that would help. This pain is all directed at my front to the point where even my thighs hurt. What are people doing to help them through this?😭 I also have a 10 month old to look after so resting definitely isn't an option haha

I feel you, im going through the exact same! Im 35 weeks and really counting down now.
Im aching getting up and walking is becoming more painful.
I was told to bounce on a birthing ball and go for short walks every few hours. I could be referred for physio but there’s a bit of a waiting list so by the time I’m seen will probably be my due date!

All I can say is I’ve been going for baths more regularly and the same as you, sleeping with lots of pillows.

Hope yours starts to ease up soon!

I used Kinetic tape or kinesiology tape to help. You can get it in sport shops. I had my husband tape an x over my hips (directly over where it was hurting) then round the bump to lift it up a bit.
