Hi everyone,

I have recently been diagnosed with endometriosis after an mri. Today I've been to see a gynaecologist who has said that I have got fluid in one of my Fallopian tubes.

I've been put on the waiting list for laparoscopy, hysteroscopy and dye test.

I've also been told to ttc straight away and see if it does happen naturally then I won't need the above yet.

Please has somebody got any experience with this? I am completely in the dark with this as I have no idea about any of it.
Am I likely to be able to conceive naturally or is this a real problem? I'm devastated.

Thanks

Hi @gossipgirlxoxox

Firstly hope you are ok after receiving your endometriosis diagnosis. I have had stage 4 endometriosis and Adenomyosis for nearly 15 years now.

I am currently 35 weeks pregnant with my second child who was conceived naturally and very surprisingly. Also my daughter was conceived naturally too.

With my daughter I conceived 8 weeks after I had a laparoscopy for my Endo and the pregnancy was fine and she was born beautiful and healthy.

When we tried to conceive number 2 it was more of a struggle. We had a miscarriage in 2018 which led to surgery. Whilst in surgery the surgeon discovered my Endo has gotten so much worse and was spreading. It was advised to have another operation after the MC and then try to conceive. I had the op and we tried for nearly 3 years to get pregnant with no luck. At this point my Endo and Adeno was so so severe I was becoming bedridden. My husband and I decided I needed to put my health over trying to conceive so that’s when I went into the chemical menopause and was put on the urgent list for a hysterectomy. I stopped the menopause after about 6/7 months as wasn’t helping and just sat tight for my hysterectomy. Then covid hit and obviously everything got delayed. It was last Aug that I discovered I was late for my period and found out I was pregnant 🥰 and not only a few weeks off giving birth.

It’s definitely not impossible having children naturally when you have Endometriosis but always talk with your consultant. Hopefully the operation will give you the much needed relief for your symptoms and you will go on to conceive successfully ♥️

@Nurselife2020

Thank you so much for your response. I'm so pleased you did manage to conceive.

At the moment it's the Fallopian tube issue that's concerning me the most. I am completely in the dark about this as I've never heard of it. Everything I Google is saying how unlikely it is to be able to conceive naturally without ivf. I just don't know where to turn to.

Xx

Did you have any updates to this? I am in the same boat as you and been googling non stop since my ultra sound and i cant stop crying at the thought of not being able to have a baby. I had an ultrasound the lady said she could see cysts on my ovaries and then she mentioned possible fluid in my fallopian tubes I’m just going out my mind with worry now getting really depressed about it xx
