27 weeks and COVID

I'm 27 weeks and just tested positive for COVID.

Classed as high risk due to IVF and high bmi.

I'm triple jabbed but I feel awful.

I'll call the midwife in the morning but is there anything I can do?

Oh bless you, hope you feel better soon. Definitely call your midwife in the morning. For now just try not to worry, you're in a much better position for being jabbed! Stay as hydrated as possible and just be extra vigilant for any redness, pain or swelling in your legs, or any chest pain. Pregnancy itself increases the risk of DVT/PE a little and covid adds another layer to that, but don't worry yourself. Rest up at home with paracetamol but do call your labour ward if you have any reduced movements or other concerns with you or baby - you can still get seen with covid, it will just be in an isolation room.

I'm nearly 35 weeks and just recovered from having Covid last week. While I don't have any other risk factors I felt hideous for about 3/4 days then just left with a bit of a head cold.

Call your midwife this morning. Regular paracetamol, drink plenty water and keep moving to reduce thrombosis risk.

Hope you feel better soon.

So sorry to hear you are unwell @jodesxx but we'll done on getting 3 jabs in before your 3rd trimester. .
Agree with @LikeTheFruit, the main 3 things you can do are:
-drink plenty of water
-try and keep moving your legs, make sure you're not lying down for prolonged periods to help prevent clots
-call your midwife in the AM to see if you need blood thinning injections considering your other risk factors.

They may supply you with an oxygen saturation monitor to use at home if things get worse.
Take care and get well soon!

Thank you.

Called the midwife and tbh they were pretty useless. Don't even think they made a note of it. Just said that as I felt breathless to call 111 which I have done and now waiting for them to call back.
