Sleeping on back (14 weeks)

Hi,
I've read a lot online about how lying on your back increases the risk of still birth. Did/Does any body on here sleep on their back (or lie on their back for a few hours eg when watching a movie) during pregnancy?

I'm 14 weeks and really anxious about lying on my back now. Although a lot of the websites talk about the risk only applying when you're 28 weeks and over.

Thanks.

I don't think its an issue until you are much further along and have a big bump. By that point its too uncomfortable to lie on your back for too long. A few hours for a movie maybe but not all night.

That’s a third trimester thing. Between the heartburn and the lower back pain I couldn’t have slept flat on my back in the third trimester if you had paid me.
A pregnancy pillow would probably help you not to roll over now, if you’re worried about it.

Yes, it's third trimester really and by the time you get there it's generally super uncomfortable lying on your back because the weight of the bump anyway. I wouldn't worry about it at 14 weeks personally.

Third trimester you should try to start out on your side but don't worry if you roll onto your back.
Maybe it's because I don't get big bumps but I don't find it uncomfortable on my back and do often wake like that.
Interestingly I'v never been told not to sleep on my back by midwives, just happened to see it in my second pregnancy.
