I'm not due until next week and its our first baby but we have decided to try pampers. My sister in law used them for both of her kids and they seemed to fit them well and didnt leak.

Cloth nappies are the best out there :) TheNappyLady website has all the info if you’re interested in trying it even part time. My son has been clothed since birth and we love it :)

Always used Aldi with no issues

COL1N · 05/03/2022 12:37

Asda Little Angels are the best 👍🏻

We did Pampers for the first few weeks, they are good but they seemed like a waste because you have to change them so frequently. We then moved to Aldi ones or Fred and Flo. I found once they sleep 12 hours a night, the pampers ones are worth it because they don’t leak. Also, we found the Aldi wipes are the best. It’s a lot of trial and error and you’ll probably have to try a few brands to see what you like x

It's trial and error. It totally depends on the shape of your baby. Different brands are better for different babies.

Kgutdfn · 05/03/2022 23:38

Pampers, I found the others couldn't compete.

DuggeeHugPlease · 05/03/2022 23:40

Don't buy lots in advance - try a few different ones and see.
I liked Aldi or sainsburys with first baby but prefer Boots own or Lidl with this baby.

I also found some brands I liked in sizes 1-2 but not so much in the bigger sizes.

polkadotpixie · 05/03/2022 23:42

I liked Aldi in size 1 & 2 but not in the bigger sizes. I switched to Pampers in size 3 and stuck with them

AHungryCaterpillar · 06/03/2022 00:34

I like pampers, haven’t tried Aldi personally as don’t have one near and like to be able to order online so pampers worked well for that. Never had any issues with them.

Tigerlily08 · 06/03/2022 07:27

I really rate Boots own brand nappies! We tried multiple and found them the best for our DD and much cheaper than Pampers x

RandomQuest · 06/03/2022 07:36

For newborns I don’t think it really matters because you’re changing them quite frequently. I personally saw no difference between the generic hospital ones and the pampers we had at home. Once they’re going all night on one nappy then it does make more of a difference and for me it has to be Pampers and preferably Active Fit!

DockOTheBay · 06/03/2022 07:41

I would highly recommend cloth nappies.

For disposablea, they're all fine to be honest. Just get whichever one is cheapest and easiest to get hold of.

bookish83 · 06/03/2022 07:44

Aldi for the small sizes but rubbish after size 4

Pampers are of course more expensive but work great through all of the sizes. Change slightly less frequently after the new born stage!

Sometimes different brands fit better depending on baby shape and size

LillyLeaf · 06/03/2022 07:59

Cloth nappies are great and so easy to use and wash. I think a lot of people think they are a hassle, but they're not. Also cheeky wipes.

K2012 · 07/03/2022 11:04

Thank you very much for your replies, I will get a few different brands and see what’s best for my baby 🙌🏻

I used to be big fan of Tesco nappies purple ones but that was like 10 years ago lol, so probably changed now. Will be testing different brands this time, I remember pampers were horrible, hanging down with weight a lot. I preferred wider and more firm ones.
