Anterior placenta - when will I feel movement?

Hi lovely ladies!

Sorry if this has been asked before.
I’m 19 weeks pregnant with my first baby and I have an anterior placenta. My doctor listened to her last week with the Doppler and she kept kicking but I can’t feel a thing!

If you had/ have an anterior placenta with your first, when did you feel movement that you recognised to be the baby for sure?

Thanks x

I’m 21+3 today with a high anterior placenta. I was feeling squeezes from around 18 weeks but since last Saturday (20+4) I’ve had proper kicks - so much so that my husband has now felt them. I’ve been woken up at 3am with thuds too and now getting that “fish swim in the sea” feeling when they are doing rolls. It was mainly evenings but now feeling during the day too. You will get there 😊

All, my midwife says it's normal for some people not to feel anything until 25 weeks x

I think I’ve felt things the last 2 days but I feel like I can’t be sure yet! I can’t wait to feel something where i just know it’s her!
Ahh the struggles of our placenta!

At my 16 week scan I was watching the screen and it was so weird to see the doctor poke my tummy and see how the poke went straight onto the placenta. That has made me feel less worried about feeling movements though.

I had an anterior placenta and felt some first kicks/flutters around 20-25weeks I think x
