7 weeks pregnant, nausea 🤮

Hi all,
Currently 7 weeks with pregnancy 4. One 10YO and two recent miscarriages. After losing two, I am obviously so pleased that this pregnancy is full of strong symptoms (sore boobs, super tired, twinges and the dreaded nausea) but I've had nearly a week of constant nausea now and I'm eagerly eyeing the end of the first trimester to try and get some relief! No one but my husband knows about the pregnancy as we want our 10YO to find out first and we don't want to tell him until we have had a scan, just to be safe, so I'm concerned that I may not be able to keep this quiet for as long as I'd like. I had a few days off work this week but now I've established that the nausea is likely to be pregnancy related I've had to suck it up and go back. Today was tough 😅 trying to teach when you feel rough is pretty tricky. I'm hoping I can find ways to manage it. I'm currently in my first full day of using wristbands, which do seem to help a bit. I'm eating little and often as and when I can, drinking regular sips, eating ginger biscuits. It's exhausting 😅
Send me your stories - we're in this together!

I’m almost 9 weeks. Been vomiting since 5 weeks. I had covid which made the sickness a million times worse too. Tried the crackers, ginger snaps, wrist bands, lucozade. Tbh I simply give up lol. I try getting out and about in the fresh air that takes my mind off feeling sickly

Bulbasaur90 · 03/03/2022 21:04

@Nikki037297 oh poor you! I feel for you; vomiting is horrible. I agree on the fresh air though. Definitely helps! Fingers crossed yours starts to drop soon.

Don’t suffer! Call your GP and ask them for some anti nausea meds, I did after I’d tried all the dry crackers / ginger tea etc and they were absolutely brilliant

Me too! I am 9 weeks and finding this much worse than I ever thought it would be. The constant nausea is exhausting and 24 hours a day. I haven't really found anything that helps. In general I feel better when I eat fruit and salads but it's not always the easiest thing to reach for when you feel like this!

Fingers crossed its only for a few more weeks!

Bulbasaur90 · 03/03/2022 21:30

@ShirleyPhallus That's my plan if I can't get a hold on it and I find I'm struggling day to day. I need to work so if I find it becomes a big issue I will call them next week.

@RooneyRue Fingers crossed it doesn't last long. I'm not a big fruit/salad person unfortunately. I find I'm getting on well with easy things like bread and biscuits, which I know aren't healthy but I'm just pleased to be eating. I've tried to get in fruit juices though for vitamins.

I feel for you. I’m 7 weeks tomorrow and the sickness has been here since 5 weeks and is intense. Was sick on the school run yesterday Sad
This is my third pregnancy and I definitely think this one (so far) has had the strongest symptoms so early on. Trying to hide it from DS as well and he’s already asked me if I’m pregnant again!

Rachelw730 · 04/03/2022 19:14

I’m 11 weeks pregnant. I started having morning sickness around week 6. Now I have morning and evening sickness and feel like I have constant acid. I feel nauseous just about all of the time. I’ve got some anti sickness medication but I’m trying to hold off taking in the hope that it’ll settle soon. I have ordered some of the wrist bands from Amazon to come tomorrow so I have my fingers crossed that these work!

Bulbasaur90 · 04/03/2022 21:13

@Youvegotafriendinme how strange that yours has worsened with each pregnancy. Then again, I've never had any nausea at all with my first 3 pregnancies, so maybe it's the same for me too. Hope it lets up soon for you!

@Rachelw730 Oh I feel for you. Definitely give the medication a go if you need it but I know what you mean, I would rather go without if possible. I think my wristbands are helping as I've managed two days at work now with them with only minor nausea, today being the best I've felt for a week or so, so fingers crossed they help you too. The only downside for me is the pressure point of the band is starting to leave a bruise from constant contact.

@Bulbasaur90 I’ll take the bruises over being sick and feeling sick anytime 🤣

Hoping the wrist bands will work some kind of small miracle. I puked bruising my teeth so I’ve come to bed feeling sorry for myself!

Bulbasaur90 · 04/03/2022 22:20

@Rachelw730 Haha I bet! I really have found them helpful though, so I hope you find the same. They get a bit tight and I have to give my wrists a little break from time to time but I had them on for around 12 hours today quite comfortably. I just take them off when I get home.
Ohh poor you ☹ thankfully I guess the second trimester isn't far for you so you may get some relief soon 🤞🏻

@Bulbasaur90 how’s the nausea? My wrist bands have come. They haven’t stopped me being sick, but defo helped with the nausea. I’ll be glad when this trimester is over…. But I’m sure I’ll have something else to complain about haha!

Bulbasaur90 · 07/03/2022 17:31

@Rachelw730 Hey 😊 I'm still getting it in waves on and off throughout the day but I think I'm learning to manage it better. I'm pleased the wristbands are taking some of your nausea away - I definitely think mine has been better since I started using them. As long as I don't let myself get too hungry I'm not too bad. Fingers crossed yours tapers off soon!
