Tena pants?

Due to give birth soon and I'm wondering if anyone has used Tena pants or similar for afterwards? When I had my last dc I remember the maternity pads being really uncomfortable and they kept moving around which caused leaks. Since then I've also started using reusable period pants which I favour over pads too so I guess im looking for something more 'wearable' this time around.

Any recommendations would be great :-)

Can’t give any specific recommendations, but I’ve had more and more women pack these in their bags for post-delivery, and think they’re such a great idea!! Especially for the first 24 hours when bleeding is heaviest. Only negative is instead of changing a pad, you’re essentially changing your underwear which could be a faff depending on what you’re wearing

I used these and the Always ones with my first and will be using them again for my second! I'd definitely recommend them, some days I used them on their own and some days I started the day with a pad in (the extra cushioning for more comfort!) and so that I didn't have to change my underwear every time, and then later in the day I would wear without a pad. Both ways worked well.

Thanks both, that's really helpful. I wonder how many pairs roughly to put in my hospital bag?

I’d estimate minimum of 6 per day.
Also don’t know about other hospitals but at my one we have maternity pads which we use immediately after delivery, and until you are mobile and showering

I took part in a trial of lansinoh pads - they were about the size of Africa so I was worried using remote but actually they were really thin and comfortable. I'd 100% recommend them if you can buy them in the shops yet. Once they finished I used ones from Boots and I hated them in comparison - I also now use period pants (and I switched to them as I hated the boots ones so much).

I've heard lots of recommendations for e.g. tena lady knickers but didn't use them myself, but I'd probably look into them for next time is lansinoh wasn't produced.

I've put one packet of the pants and one packet of pads in my hospital bag
