10 weeks today and feel completely normal

Hey everyone! As the title says, 10 weeks today and feel completely normal. Is this right? I haven't had many pregnancy symptoms at all since finding out but now I have zero.

I first tested when I was around 3 weeks because I had sore boobs but that only lasted a week. I then started feeling tired and nausea for a couple of weeks but then they kept coming and going every few days. Now nothing, zero symptoms!

I'm so worried. I last had a scan at 8w2d where everything was perfectly fine and we saw a little heartbeat. My next scan isn't while 18th March and the wait is killing me. Especially now I have no symptoms.

Is anyone else 10 weeks and up to now have had little no symptoms? Or had anyone been I'm this position before and everything turned out completely fine at the 12 week scan?

Thank you.

I think symptoms are supposed to start getting better the closer you get to 12 weeks. In my first pregnancy I had a few days here and there in tri 1 where I felt much better only to crash back down with sore boobs and nausea the next day. Would another private scan ease your mind?

I hate the stage before the 12 week scan with the worrying!! I know exactly how you feel but I believe a heartbeat at 8 weeks means there is an extremely good chance of everything being fine.

Symptoms in general do start to improve around this time, I remember feeling pretty good at 10 weeks with my son. With him I never had any symptoms, didn't even really know I was pregnant just a few slight food aversions but with my daughter I had hyperemesis so that was the opposite :) congrats on your little baby!

I was extremely anxious due to previous miscarriages and I actually bought a home Doppler and heard both heartbeats for my children from 9 weeks onwards but I know this isn't strictly recommended xx

Thank you! In my first pregnancy I didn't find out I was pregnant until i was 11 weeks along and although it was 7 years ago, I can't remember having any symptoms before 11 weeks that made me want to test. I just tested because I have pcos and used to test quite regularly. I never worried in the pregnancy either, I just got on with it. Fast forward 7 years and everything is such a worry!

I can't really afford a private scan at the moment so I'm trying to hold on until the 12 week one.

Me too it's such a worry leading up to the 12 week scan! I have read something where it said the placenta starts to take over so you start to feel better. But I never had really had any symptoms at all.

I have thought about buying a home doppler but I don't know if it'd make it worse if I didn't find a heartbeat 🙈

Please don’t get a Doppler, it should only be used by a professional who is trained and it will cause you more heartache, and can even be dangerous if there was a problem with the heartbeat as you wouldn’t be able to tell what a ‘normal’ one sounds like and may give you a false sense of security. It’s perfectly normal to start feeling better. I know it’s tough, but it’s not too long to wait now.

Okeydoky · 01/03/2022 12:41

I didn't have any symptoms at all until 30 weeks Grin Honestly felt completely normal. DC is 2 now.

Don't waste your money on a doppler. They should be banned for sale for home use. Unless you're trained to use one you'll just as likely pick up your blood flow than the baby's heartbeat.

I only tested because i said i was really hungry and someone at work asked if i was pregnant then realised i was 10 days late. I had sore boobs for a few days, felt very tired but had no other symptons.

When i was 11 weeks, my brother even asked if i was sure i was pregnant as not had any sickness (his wife had sickness with both of their kids). Went into the 12 week scan thinking the worst but baby had healthy heartbeat. I am now due in 11 days and apart from being uncomfortable and pain in the top of my legs, the only sympton recently is heartburn but even that has stopped now.

No I won't get a home doppler as I know they can be unreliable and will probably make me worse. I keep thinking maybe I'm just one of the lucky ones with no symptoms. But it doesn't help the worry and anxiety :(

Definitely don’t get a Doppler, but could you put the money that would have cost towards another private scan?

I’m very early days and will be having a scan at week 7, I’m already thinking I won’t be able to wait until week 12 and will book something in around week 10.

It’s a very long time ago now but I remember having this exact worry and ringing my mum in a panic. She told me to relax and enjoy feeling well while it lasted.
That 10 week bean is now a strapping 6ft 3ins 19 year old!

I know what you mean OP. I am 12 weeks this week and have barely had any symptoms...I had some nausea for a few weeks but nothing major, just felt like when you eat too much sugar.

Aside from that, I had vaguely sore nipples which I wouldn't have noticed if I hadn't been prodding and poking to see if they were sore yet Grin, but this is gone now too.

Honestly, if it wasn't for missed periods, I wouldn't have any inkling tbh. I can see how people don't find out for ages if they have irregular periods!
