6 week scan no fetal pole

Has this happened to anyone? Im bang on 6 weeks and was told today there is a yolk sac and a white ‘thickened’ line at the bottom which is indication of the fetal pole starting but I thought by 6 weeks there should be a detectable heartbeat.

I actually have a 31 day cycle so I don’t typically ovulate until day 16 or 17.
Could this be why it’s not detectable yet?

I’m all over the place and feel really rubbish.

Just a good news story, sorry to those that have lost, but hoping to give some hope for others.

we tracked my wife’s periods which are consistent and ovulation and intercourse do we were confident with our dates.

she had some bleeding and brown discharge. So we had an appointment for an early scan. When we had the scan we thought we were 6.5 weeks. The person doing it looked glum. Showed us there was a sac but no fetal pole. She said she’d expect to see one by now but booked us in for a confirmation scan 2 weeks later.

we had that scan yesterday and straight away there was a little baby there with a good heartbeat. After 2 weeks of worry this was such a relief. They measured it at 7.5 weeks so that means we were only 5.5 on first scan, fetal pole can take up to 6/6.5 weeks to show.

so even if you track your dates perfectly there is still hope not seeing anything at around 6 weeks.

Can anyone help please? I had a scan today. I should be 6+4. Trans abdominal she measured the gestational sac 6+5 but couldn’t see anything. She then did a TVS and measured sac at 6+1. There is yolk sac but no fetal pole. I have the scans to take to the dr but I think they look weird. Does anyone agree?
