How would you describe the first movements of baby?

I’m coming up to 18 weeks and I think I’ve started to feel the baby moving over the last day or two.

The only way I can describe it is slight muscle spasms, with some bubbles and mixed with the feeling that I’ve swallowed a live fish.

The sensation is quite low down, near pelvic bone, so this could genuinely be my digestion. However, I got about 5 mins of this feeling when I first woke up this morning and had a few other 1-2 minutes of it this afternoon.

How would you describe your first movements and how did you know it’s baby and not gas? 😂

Bubbles popping

Like bubbles moving through my tubes. Felt at 16 weeks and by 20 weeks movements were undeniable.

There is an artery that runs down the centre of your stomach so if you can see pulsing from the outside it’s probably that

Little thumps coming from the inside.

Like bubbles popping. So much his nickname became pop pop... still call him that now 2 years later haha

Like internal farts. Not the most poetic explanation, but accurate.

Like wind. A fart, ready to be released.

Or a fish.

Like someone is flicking me from the inside.
