Nervous first timer silly question alert - is there such a thing as kicking too much?

Am embarrassed to ask but figure there have been sillier questions on MN at some point!!

My baby seems to be going mad on the kicking front (am 28 weeks) and over the last couple of days seems to be doing the macarena in there!

I'm assuming that I'd better get used to it and it's nothing to worry about but just wanted a bit of reassurance?
Thx

It's fine.

Don't worry, ds kicked loads. Dh was seriously wondering if this meant he may have ADHD but it really just depends on how the baby is laying. Too many kicks are always preferable to not feeling them move and then worrying about it!

it sounds fine to me but if you are worried ring up your MW for a bit of extra RL reassurance iyswim!

dd also kicked loads (and lots of elbowing) right through to the end of the pregnancy when all the books say the movements calm down. She's also a very lively baby outside the womb - arms and legs always on the move.

Thanks all.

When i was pregnant with my dd, i actually loved the kicks even at the end, but when i was pg with ds, he actually made me double up in pain, i actually started dreading the kicks, he was hyperactive in the womb and still is now.

Mine is still at it at 36 weeks, although now it is pushing and shoving , main benefit, you rarely worry about whether he moves enough.

If he goes a bit too mental in there try stroking your bump and talking quietly. sometimes it works.
