Really get up and move as soon as possible, even if you don't feel like it. Obviously don't push yourself haha its not the time for heroics but definitely try to get up when you can. Also, lie flat on your back in hospital (rather than with head up on bed) when you can so you sort of stretch your body out a bit when you can. Did this after my second c section and was so much better than my first. Good luck op!

Peppermint tea and prunes.

And yes to getting up- I was able to much sooner than I thought and was home within 24 hours. Set alarm to take painkillers at the right intervals, it’s missing the timings that makes the pain bad.

Snacks- there was no toast and I’d missed wars dinner.

Glycerin suppositories in your bag. Use one when you need to 💩

Stick a maternity towel horizontally inside your trousers/pj bottoms to stop the waistband rubbing on your incision.

If you need to sneeze, relax as much as possible to try and prevent the jerky a-choo movement (I know what I mean 😂)

Take your meds on time!

Take all the meds you are offered, this is not the time for heroics. Bring all the snacks and drinks. Enjoy your little one!
