Blood thinning injections when pregnant

I'm 31+1 and have tested positive for covid. I've been prescribed enoxaparin injections to prevent blood clots but have been given no information about how to administer them!
Anyone else had these and can give me some tips?

Yes you literally put them in your upper arm, thigh or id do it it on a little roll of fat below my bra line because you could pinch it and as you press the plunger release the hold you have on it and it stopped it stinging as much. Its quite scary the first time. You can also do it on your bum cheek.

I did all mine in my belly fat. It's the mental block on the first one that's the worst. I found the slower I put the needle in the more likely it was to bruise so put the needle in swiftly. I was always surprised at how painless that bit was, sometimes the liquid going in was a bit of a sting but it went away in a few mins. Honestly after the first couple you'll absolutely boss it. I am assuming you got the instruction leaflet though?

I have to use blood thinners and I inject in my tummy, I just pinch an inch of fat and put the needle in at a 90degree angle, push the plunger slowly and hold it in for a couple of seconds before pulling it back out. Says on my leaflet not to inject within 5cm of belly button

I read the instruction leaflet, it says to inject into the belly but not within 5cm of the belly button. It just doesn't feel right injecting into my bump. I'm meant to pinch some skin before inserting the needle but the skin on my bump is so tight I can't pinch anything!

What about thigh or outside of bum cheek ?

I do mine in alternate thighs. My belly looked like I'd be beaten from from all the purple bruising they caused when I did it there.

They sting like f*ck but do it slowly holding the needle at 90 degrees and don't rub it afterwards.

I'm 26 weeks & I've been on blood thinning injections since BFP & will be til 6 weeks after birth. I'm black and blue but anywhere where you can pinch an inch is fine to use & in fact my tummy is my most used area as it then bruises least I find. Pinch, hold needle at 90 degrees & pop in. Sting like a bastard but all ok.

I had some (can't remember the name) because I was in maternity so long after delivery (10 days). They showed me how to do it though, and recommend if you use the tummy for example that you alternate the sides otherwise it gets quite sore from the bruises all being done b one side of that makes sense.

I had blood thinners towards the end of my second pregnancy a few years ago. I did them in my thighs (alternating) because psychologically I couldn't inject my bump.

Do alternate thighs.
I was on high strength fragmin twice a day for 7 months of pregnancy and a further 6 months.
Was ok 99% of the time, some nights though it just got too much and hubby kindly jabbed me.
