Haven't seen one of these for a while so thought why not for a bit of fun 😊

First pregnancy for me, am currently 29+2 and have been craving tomatoes (any type, plum tomatoes, tinned tomatoes, tomato sauces lol) and ice cold glasses of milk- woke up this morning at like half five really wanting it ha 😂

So what are your cravings? Anything weird and wonderful 😂

1st was Rocket icelollies. I was pregnant over a bad winter so dh got strange looks buying them when it was heavy snow outside. We went to inlaws and they were all hugging their cups of tea and I was sitting quite happily with my box of Rockets Grin
2nd Jam Swiss roll.

girlmama22 · 09/02/2022 08:42

Mine were prawn cocktail walkers crisps, they were honestly all I could think about every minute of the day at one point 😅. Volvic water and really sour sweets. I completely went off meat for months too.

Limegreentangerine · 09/02/2022 08:43

I had those little dumplings from the Chinese takeaway and a pot of HOI Sin sauce

Bran21 · 09/02/2022 08:54

Mine was slush, the colder the better! Green or blue were the best.

Cakecakecheese · 09/02/2022 09:45

I have a craving for something, get said thing, decide I don't want it. Apart from crumpets with chocolate spread. They didn't last long.

maryd84 · 09/02/2022 14:55

Some of the things I craved were salt and vinegar crisps, mandarin oranges, tinned salmon/tuna.

A very odd craving I had was for bath sponges. I craved the smell of them and imagined how good they would taste. Managed to stop myself from actually putting them in my mouth though lol 🤣

babydays123 · 09/02/2022 22:58

Grapes!

It's more than a craving though, I have medication still (at 32 weeks) to keep my
Sickness at bay and I actually start to feel worse with it if I don't eat them for a couple for days. 😆

babyjenks93 · 09/02/2022 23:08

When I was early, it was salty things: ritz crackers, pickles, olives (which I usually don't like!). Then it evolved in sweet stuff mostly like kinder chocolate ans BUBBLE TEA. I would have liters if it weren't so damn expensive 😂😂

Piemam · 09/02/2022 23:20

@Primrosefields- snap! My 3rd was Rocket lollies, whatever the weather, and cold pineapple juice (couldn't wait to get to the pineapple part of Rocket lollies either!).

FlushTheLoo · 09/02/2022 23:21

Pot Noodle 😩

MrsMidgeMaisel · 09/02/2022 23:38

Satsumas - cold from the fridge
Pineapple fingers
Chocolate weetos

Chichimcgee · 09/02/2022 23:40

With my first no cravings but no symptoms at all, I thought pregnancy was a breeze.
With my second I cannot get enough milk, I’m drinking 6 pints a day! She’s also giving me a tough pregnancy!

TashieWoo · 10/02/2022 06:45

28 weeks here and I love oranges, and feel withdrawals if I don’t have at least one a day!

Ifeellikedancing · 10/02/2022 06:54

Mine were very hot curries and slushies.

romdowa · 10/02/2022 08:15

Fresh milk and sour peaches. If the milk wasn't fresh enough or the peaches sour enough then I used to cry 🤣🤣

ToCaden · 10/02/2022 19:21

At first really cold drinks and ice pops. Then cheeseburgers for a trying couple of weeks. When I do a rare McDonald's I'm usually all about the fries, but suddenly I just wanted multiple cheeseburgers...

Now I'm coming up to 14 weeks and despite being exhausted all day I can't sleep because chinese prawn fried rice is all I can think about. I had a blissful week before today of minimal cravings and thought oh they must get better in second trimester and maybe i' m past that.

No. The cravings get more intense in second trimester. Damn you Google for shattering my hopes.

Seriously guys. When you get a really bad craving keeping you awake, what do you do? Do you give in, have any tips for getting your mind off it, have any solutions when healthier substitutes or other foods don't dampen the cravings?

I cried myself to sleep one night because I needed garlic breaded mushrooms from a local restaurant, had to be those specific ones, but it closed at 10pm, DH thought I was losing my mind Grin Honestly no substitute worked for me it had to be exactly the thing I was craving or it just got stronger.
SinkingSwim · 10/02/2022 19:40

Mine was orange juice, I was going through two cartons a day at one point 😂

PollysPockets · 10/02/2022 19:40

CurryandSnuggle · 10/02/2022 20:08

First pregnancy was kinder bueno. This pregnancy I have no cravings!!!

Dspx · 10/02/2022 20:14

Ready salted crisp sandwiches and coke from a machine with loads of ice cans or bottles wouldn't do it had to be the syrup type. Rocket ice lolly's Weren't a craving but we're guaranteed to get him moving there were many an afternoon spent laying on my side eating ice lollies waiting for a kick x

Wildrobin · 10/02/2022 20:19

I’ve had quite a weird enthusiasm for pickled herring and also chilli / chilli jam/ chilli oil on things! And black pepper!

MsSquiz · 10/02/2022 20:27

Although my pregnancies have been very different, my cravings have been the same for both!

Crisps dipped in cream cheese
Cinnamon swirls
McDonalds apple pie
Toasted tea cakes with real butter

Dipsydoodlenoodle · 10/02/2022 23:08

My baby is 12 weeks old and when pregnant I was so looking forward to weird cravings...I had none. I had morning sickness throughout and heartburn was off the scale so I had to be careful about what I actually ate to avoid the constant heartburn
