How many braxton hicks is too many?

I’m 24 weeks and have been having braxton hicks for quite a few weeks now. I had them from fairly early on with DD too.
But how many is too many? I’ve had a lot this evening, but they don’t hurt at all, just the normal uncomfortable tightening. I’ve been having one maybe every 10/15 mins for a few hours, even while resting.
Is there a point it gets concerning, or if it’s painless is it ok? I don’t have any other concerning symptoms, or any back pain etc.

I had loads every evening and no-one seemed concerned but maybe ask your midwife?

Ok thanks. I’m still having them this morning but less than last night, so I’ll ask and see if there’s a point I should worry about them.

I had this OP - it started at around 19 weeks and just continued throughout. I was having 100+ contractions a day and none of the usual tricks (drink lots, keep your bladder empty) made any difference.

Midwife was initially unconcerned, then started to um and ah over it, saying might go a bit early at 36-37 weeks, but actually DD was born spontaneously at 33 weeks. I can't say with absolute scientific certainty that the "irritable uterus" as the midwife called it and the premature delivery were linked, but it certainly seemed that way, a d irritable uterus is known to increase the risk of prem birth.

My point being, please don't just ignore it if it continues. Seek help and insist on being taken seriously. I think the reason the midwives I spoke to weren't concerned was because the contractions weren't painful, but then true labour contractions weren't painful for me until the very end either.
