Is the nub theory reliable??

Is it scientifically proven that the nub theory is correct?
I know I'll probably get the "it's 50/50 chance" comments but people who understand the nub theory tend to get it right 90% of the time. Especially when it comes to boy nubs.

If the nub theory is true, then surely it would be a bigger thing by now and sonographers would be able to take guesses.
Sometimes I wish I never knew about the nub theory because I feel it's now spoilt the surprise factor out of being pregnant

In my scientific study of 1 (me). I uploaded a scan photo to a "nub expert" Facebook group & they were correct

Yes if the scan is from the right time the best time is during the 12th week, you get the perfect angle which is a side profile and the nub is seen clearly then it’s extremely accurate. At my last scan at 12 weeks I seen the nub perfectly and said that’s a boy, the lady scanning me smiled and I had another scan at 16 weeks in fetal medicine to check my baby’s heart (I’m high risk because 2 of my children have heart defects) and it was the same lady scanning me she asked if I’d like to find out the sex I said I had a private scan at 15 weeks which confirmed boy as I knew from my 12 week nub and she checked again and said yup he’s all boy: I asked why they don’t do the nub, she said that they all know about it and do take bets on it but it’s not part of their practice but perhaps one day in the future it will be.

It was 100% right for me from my 12 weeks scan picture. I had all boy guesses ☺️
