Do pregnancy tests get weaker over time? (I'm 19 weeks and test is faint)

Hi all. I'm 19 weeks pregnant, and I was starting to worry as all my symptoms have stopped and I still haven't felt the baby move. I heard the heartbeat at an appointment a couple of weeks ago, but I really just don't feel pregnant at all. I also have basically no bump to speak of, maybe just a tiny, barely noticeable one. As I wad worried I did a pregnancy test today and the line is really quite faint. I would have thought by now it would be really strong. Do HcG levels drop as the pregnancy progresses? Or should I be worried?

That's good news op hope all goes well

That is great. Let us know how things are after your scan

Ah your lines look a lot stronger now so hopefully that helped to put your mind at easy, but I'm glad you're going to the EPU anyway. How you'll pop back and update us :)

I'm glad you've got a scan. Nothing you've said sounds concerning but it would be horrible to be worrying for a week.
Hope it goes well.

I've just read your posts back. I though you said you can't feel baby's movements anymore but if you haven't felt any yet then that's different, good news that you've got a scan for reassurance anyway :). Good luck.

So I misunderstood and it wasn't a scan they were offering but a listen to the heartbeat with the sonicaid, which they did, and the heartbeat was fine :) thanks, everyone

The nurse even did a little dance to the sound of the heartbeat 😄
