I was in a sort of similar position OP!
I was diagnosed at 21 with PCOS, always told to just lose weight, but never given real advice on how to manage my PCOS or anything.
I put on instead of lost, which continued on!
I got very very very overweight. Covid became a thing, I thought flipping heck, if I do catch covid I'm done. Had private weightloss surgery.
At at BMI of 36.5 I was told I had a lot of scarring in my pelvic region, which they thought was down to PCOS, this was the opinion of two separate professionals and they both said the likelihood of having more children (I had a 13 year old at the time but couldn't conceive after her) was slim to none.
Still the thought was in my head that I'd lose a few more BMI points then ask for help with fertility.
I then had a surprise pregnancy. Just in the 3rd trimester today!
Please keep hope! Also, if you're still getting PCOS symptoms it doesn't always mean you're not ovulating- I thought I still wasn't because the facial hair was still coming through steadily and the androgenic alopecia seemed to be worsening, but nope. I ovulate and got pregnant.
If I can recommend anything, it's exercise. Be as active as you can and try to drop your carbs and increase protein.
