You’re being completely batshit (meant in a supportive way), you’ll be fine.

moomin11 · 23/01/2022 07:47

Nope it won't have affected anything. Certain smells can make you feel sick during pregnancy and for you this was clearly one of them.

IncompleteSenten · 23/01/2022 07:47

Your anxiety about it will be what is causing the symptoms you describe.
Don't worry. There is absolutely no way smelling some alcohol can harm your baby.

emilyintheSE · 23/01/2022 07:48

What?

Your stress and anxiety is doing far more harm to your baby.

GiltEdges · 23/01/2022 07:51

In the nicest possible way, you must know how crazy that looks written down. This isn't like passive smoking. Before being pregnant, what would you have thought if someone had told you that you could get drunk just by being in the same room as other people who were drinking? Same difference.

Spreadingtheword · 23/01/2022 07:51

As above. You worry far too much. Don’t spend your entire pregnancy in fear of every tiny detail, you’ll be exhausted and won’t enjoy it at all.

My midwife said a small wine on occasion is absolutely fine. So I had one last night but that’s personal choice. Smelling alcohol will do nothing but make your mouth water Grin

CurryandSnuggle · 23/01/2022 08:16

Put it out of your mind now, it will have done 0.

Garman · 23/01/2022 08:38

Have you spoken to your midwife about your excessive anxiety as has been advised on your many other threads?

NotNowFGS · 23/01/2022 09:07

Do talk to your midwife. Anxiety like this can get out of hand very quickly.

This.

I made my partner a coffee yesterday and the smell of it made me want to throw up.

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 23/01/2022 11:09

I craved the smell of beer with my DD. No ill effects.

Georgeskitchen · 23/01/2022 11:17

It won't harm your baby but I totally get why it made you feel sick I couldn't bear the smell of alcohol when pregnant. Even walking past a pub when the door was open made me want to barf!

These posts are getting more ludicrous by the day.

Onatree · 23/01/2022 11:19

There is no such thing as inhaling alcohol breath.

There is however the impacts of anxiety and stress.

Onatree · 23/01/2022 11:21

You have created 3 threads of this nature on here.

An example is this thread of yours - www.mumsnet.com/Talk/pregnancy/4447090-Struggled-to-get-baby-in-car-seat-pregnant

You need professional help to prevent this degree of mental health difficulties impacting your baby, your own health and that of your family’s

Juno231 · 23/01/2022 11:23

Wow the insanity. Please tell me you have sought help for this level of anxiety?

liveforsummer · 23/01/2022 11:24

Feeling dizzy, especially after a later night is a common pregnancy symptom. Absolutely zero to do with the fumes from a handful of glasses of wine.

PossiblyDreaming · 23/01/2022 11:24

OP I’ve just looked at all the threads that you’ve created over the last couple of weeks. Please see you midwife as soon as you can and talk to her, honestly, about your concerns and stress levels.

FindingMeno · 23/01/2022 11:25

Bless you.
It's fine. Honestly.

firsttimemumca · 23/01/2022 13:32

i notice from your other posts that you already have a child.. did you suffer from anxiety in your first pregnancy?

i would really suggest speaking to your midwife and gp about your concerns? this much anxiety in early pregnancy needs proper help.

i hope you're able to get the help that you need xx

Tee20x · 23/01/2022 13:37

Goodness me

showersandflowers · 23/01/2022 14:43

Hello lovely. I can completely relate to your paranoia. This was me too. Please don't worry, baby will be fine and you need to take care of yourself and keep yourself calm about little things like this, or you'll make yourself sick with worry! I hope you have an amazing time at the scan in the next few weeks, and that puts your mind at rest a little bit.

Best of luck with the rest of your pregnancy!
